They've managed to get rid of Darken Rahl' earth body in S1 and now they're bringing in the Keeper and Darken Rahl's ghost in S2. At least that's what they've said
Oh right. I didn't know that had been said, but I appreciate that. Because some of the villains are seriously kick-ass and I'd hate to lose out on seeing them brought to life.

And thanks Johnnie!

To be perfectly honest I haven't. I've read a lot of them, but not all. Each of the English books are split into 2 or 3 books for the Swedish translation which means there's 18 books in the entire series - I think I've read like 10 of them or something... I believe I'm at book 5 (Soul of Fire) or something. But I've read summaries of all the books so I know mostly what happens even if I haven't read everything. One of these days I'll have read them all, though.

Oh my gosh, me too! That scene is so gorgeous - I re-read it like a couple days ago and I swooned so much.

Yeah, a whopping 18 - makes you kinda scared, right?

...I think that's partially why I love the show so much - it's different from the books but it's got the same quality so I'm like getting the best of both worlds - I don't have to read everything (even though I will at some point) and I still get to enjoy the characters.

Well, not including the prequel book Debt of Bones, there's 11 books total. I don't know why they split the books up for you, kind of makes me wonder what they call the other extra books.

Yeah, the show brings on a totally different aspect of the books. One thing I wish we did get to see was Kahlan invoking the Blood Rage for Richard. I mean she did it but not the way the book described it. (the glowing cast of blue light around her, Kahlan lost to the power as well as the screams and the not having to touch the person to confess them.)

Debt of Bones is like a prequel to the whole Sword of Truth series. It tells Zedd' story and how the boundaries came up/first started.

Well, if you read the Sword of Truth series for Richard and Kahlan then you don't HAVE to read Debt of Bones. It doesn't progress the story or hinder it so if you want to read like a history of how Zedd started off then its an interesting read.

So, would you say the books are worth reading? I haven't read any of them, but I love the show.
