It's a wig. It was confirmed as a wig for Kit. They did not want to mess with Game of Thrones with Kit's hair even though he wore a wig in the first season.

The phenomenally successful HBO series Game of Thrones may not have done Kit Harington’s career any harm, but the 27-year-old actor can’t face the idea of appearing in it indefinitely. “I’m currently working on series five, but I didn’t go to drama school to act in a fantasy show all my life,” says Kit, a graduate of the Central School of Speech and Drama. Speaking at the BFI London Film Festival premiere of Testament of Youth at the Odeon Leicester Square, he adds that he would love to do more films, in a “similar vein” to his latest war flick. He adds that the violence in Game of Thrones takes its toll on him. “It’s taken me to a dark place for about six months in a year and it’s hard to escape that, it lives inside of you,” he says.
