Into The BADLANDS (Campaign Thread): There is no god in the badlands
Welcome to the into the BADLANDS Campaign Thread From AMC: Centuries from now, a feudal society has emerged in the wake of civilization's destruction. This area is now called the Badlands and is uneasily divided among seven rival Barons. Each Baron enforces their iron rule with the aid of loyal armies of trained assassins known as Clippers. I like fight scenes especially with sword fighting! Guns kill too fast and they're not as exciting to watch as with swords. You can add me to the list!

^ Exactly what I think!! Even though I do like a good gun fight scene, the swords and martial arts are like a choreographic dance.
Adding you right now Quote:

The show is really good! There are elements of fantasy too. With that little boy who turned into something else. Reminds me a bit of Legend of the Seeker. He's like Kahlan, the mother confessor. I've only seen the Pilot so far, but love the amazing fight scenes!
Sunny is Asian, so totally supporting him as I'm Asian too. Rare to see Asians make their mark on American TV! __________________

I'm so happy you liked it!!
Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that I am so curious to find out more about him and what he is, as well as his connection to Sunny. I never watched Legend Of The Seeker, even though it has been in my list for a long time (since Charisma Carpenter guest starred in it) If it reminded you of that, odds are I'll probably like it. I'm Asian descendant too! And it's so nice to see an Asian actor as a lead!! And I'm a bit biased, but I love Daniel Wu's acting, and the fact that he is also a producer of the show makes me want it to succeed even more __________________

Legend of the Seeker uses sword-fighting as well. It's more fantastical than Into the Badlands from what I've seen so far. We see magic in LotS. The show only ran for 2 seasons though - was based on the Sword of Truth book series that were hugely popular. Heard the books were a lot better than the TV show. Really, only the boy reminded me of LotS and some of the sword-fighting action. I did enjoy it though! There was a confessor, seeker, and wizard as the main characters. And S2 introduced a mord'sith, who was pretty badass. Strong female leads on that show!
I used to play a lot of sword-fighting MMORPG before from Perfect World Entertainment. I also watched some old Chinese dramas with family that included a lot of sword-fighting so drawn to these types of shows. I'm Chinese, by the way! Nice to meet another Asian on __________________

I have a friend that recommended it to me back in the day when it was airing, and she was really into it. It has always been in my list, but I just never took the time to watch since it was cancelled. But I do LOVE a show with strong women, so that alone is already a reason to watch.
I love martial arts! Having a mom that teaches Karate and a sister that used to compete, it's pretty much something that I had no choice but to love it or hate it My grandparents from both sides are Japaneses... I was born and raised in Brazil so my cultural knowledge is not that much but I do LOVE to see Asian actors finally getting some space in the entertainment business! __________________

The opening sequence of Badlands is pretty cool! And it seems Widow has some magic. I can't help but think of Black Widow as a Marvel fan. I wonder if we need to use spoiler tags to discuss the show? Just out of courtesy, but the episodes have aired so it should be fair game, right? I'm on the 3rd episode and will watch the 4th before bed! Even if it is 12:14 AM at the moment. I love Sunny training the little boy, giving him words of wisdom.
I took some Karate classes when I was little! They were fun. A local church was teaching it for free (asked for donations though, and we always donated) but didn't pick it back up when I moved to another state. No longer free to learn and they cost WAY too much. Daniel Wu does look familiar; unsure what I've seen him in before this show though. __________________

Sorry about disappearing... I fell asleep
I LOVE the Widow!! She is so badass!!! In the first couple of episode I also always thought that her name was Black Widow Then I had to keep reminding me that this was another thing I don't think spoilers tag are necessary, unless it's something really huge as to not ruin it for people that hasn't started yet Ohh you binged! I loved the marathon yesterday, it's so nice to watch one episode after the other!! I liked Karate, it is fuN!... but I got too lazy and dropped it after a few years (never reached black belt). I've seen him in a few Jackie Chan movies __________________

Jackie Chan is one of my favorites! He is hilarious. I used to watch his cartoon, Jackie Chan Adventures, as well! I never got to black belt either.
I didn't make it to episode 4 actually. I was too tired - it was 2 AM. I have an interview to get ready for in an hour so can squeeze in this episode before I have to do that! Widow is pretty badass, just like the Black Widow. Will be hard to keep them totally apart. __________________

I love Jackie too!! He is so adorable and funny!!
You know, Daniel Wu used to be managed by Jackie's group agency (the fight director of the show Stephen Fung was also managed by him), and Jackie himself has said that he considers Daniel like his own son during interviews of their movies together Hope you can watch it soon... then we can talk about it yeah!! And they are very similar!! Both are kickass and red heads!!! __________________

Awwe, that's sweet. Daniel is a handsome guy. I like that we get to see his arm muscles in every episode. I'm watching episode 4 right now. I love the guy in the wheelchair. What a great mentor he is! Loved the scene of him beating the crap out of the boy. Jane is so pretty. I've seen Sarah Bolger on Once Upon a Time - she played Sleeping Beauty.
