Requests - Board (Re)Customization

Hi everyone ,

The Fan Forum Graphics Team is in the process of (re)customising message boards and now it's your turn!

If you have any picture or colour suggestions please post them in this thread. Don't post (hotlink) the pictures, links to them are fine. Make sure that the pictures are of as high quality as possible and that the top of the head of the person in the picture isn't cropped off. We also like to use photoshoot images when possible, preferably individual pictures of each cast member. When suggesting colours please keep in mind that some colours will work better than others. The Team usually tries to avoid really vibrant and dark colours because we have found in the past that they are hard to look at for long periods of time. If you would like some help coming up with colour combinations we recommend checking out the design seeds website. As we want every board to have their own unique look it is preferable that you do not link to the customisations of other boards as suggested colour schemes.

Everyone is encouraged to voice their opinions for this as you are the ones who will be posting on the board and we hope to make as many people happy with the finished result as possible. It does not matter if you are a board moderator, regular poster, or casual poster here. If you have a suggestion, please share it here with us .

Your suggestions for possible pictures and colours will be taken into serious consideration, but in the interest of seeing every board receive the best customised look possible the final decision concerning how this board will be customised will be made by the members of the Graphics Team. This is because we want to make sure that the selected graphic and colours fit into the overall design scheme that we've established for Fan Forum.

Please leave this topped until a week or so after the board has been (re)customised.

Note: It usually takes approximately two weeks for us to finish making the new banner and the sooner we know what you want, the more we can work on it (though it can take a few months or so to set it up with the new colours on the board), so please let us know your suggestions as soon as possible.

When the Team have finished making the graphic I will close this thread until the graphic and colours get put up. It will then be re-opened so that you can share your thoughts about it.

I can't wait to see what will be the final product soon! But also is it possible to have the same color scheme as the graphic that won for Info Center?

If you want to pick a colour scheme similar to another board that is fine, however we don't copy colour schemes for other boards - we only copy what a board has already. I also have a feeling that simply matching a colour scheme to what you have now would still give you a similar colour scheme to IC.

Lindsay are you just looking at the blues in those colour schemes or the other colours which go with it? What sort of colour scheme are you thinking? Mainly blue with highlights of other colours? FF sorts of colours - so blue/silver/orange? Something else?

Is there anything in particular that you'd like to see included &/or represented in the graphic? Any particular images you've come across or know of to help represent the board?

Just the blue color, sorry for not making that clear.

I can't seem to find an exact color palette there that I'd like and would always find a color that I like on another palette. :spineyes;

Your suggestions are far better though. I really love all of these.

As for the graphic or the banner that is going to be used, a poll picture included would be great. Or a chart.

That's what I presumed

. I've had way too much experience looking for colour schemes I think

. Sometimes I start googling different things to try bring up what I'm hoping to find if I don't find it straight away on the design seeds website. But usually just using the search by colour page & selecting the main sort of colour you want should help bring some things up. I tried the two palest blue shades to find some of what I suggested

Based on your favourites would you prefer a more blue board with silver & orange highlights, or a silver board with blue & orange highlights (like you've got now)?

I like the teal and orange. Gives it a little bit of a pop!

As for items in the graphics...the only the that comes to mind is more poll graphical icons/shapes. And Maybe things that represent people and tv and franchises.

Like what's been mentioned, I like the teal & orange too. I agree Jackie, the orange gives it a bit of a pop.

I'd prefer more of a blue board with silver & orange highlights.

I would be wary of the harshness in that one

We can always either soften the shades of that or make the teal/Orange one more blue toned though

I think sticking with that Orange/Teal is a good idea

that one that Si linked like you said is pretty harsh and feel like would be hard on the eyes

We have now finished making all the graphics and the Graphics Team are going to vote on a winner, so this thread will now be closed until the colours and graphic have been set up - then we will re-open it so you can tell us what you all think!
