Wow, I did not see that coming. Flint is in a consensual relationship with a married couple? I had no idea too until Flint & Thomas kissed.

And then Rackham picking Max over Anne. It looks like Max's scheming worked.

Looking back now they worked it into the story really well and it totally makes sense and I think it was very well written

Like the first time him and Maranda had sex was totally awkward now I know why

It is right? Everything makes so much sense now especially what Flint is fighting for. I do like the fact that the show made us think Flint & Miranda are having an affair and then pulled the rug under us with that ep. UGH, I love this show.

Yes that was definitely a good and tricky move bravo!!

I'm just really glad that they made it very meaningful and not just something for shock value they made this is what drives Flint as a human and what makes him who he is and I appreciate that

Can't wait to see what happens next I wonder what Bonnie's going to do to max because that was messed up

I wasnt thrilled to be honest I was quite upset but I got over it after looking back and saw its who he is ...... And no I Dont think they wrote it out of character they built it from the beginning we just didn't know...

Exactly. I think the fact that people didn't see it was very well played of the writers. They made us think (for an ENTIRE season) that Miranda was cheating on Flint with that pastor. Now we know why.

You think Anne is gonna punch max in the face lol thats another thing that was very well played out by Max first I thought she was just stealing Anne from jack then she screws anne over without Rackham even realizing it he was too busy thinking that she was putting a wedged between him and anne they got bamboozled

I was actually disappointed with Rackham. I thought for a while (especially when Anne started sleeping with Max) he knew what Max was up to with them. But Max did help him a lot and I felt like he thinks he owes it to her for giving him all the luck in the world right now.

Yes you are right anne definitely got taken advantage of and I think it's made pretty obvious now that deep down she scarred and emotional and Rackham knows this I think he really knows everything about her so I think he was trying to warn her about max in the beginning but like you said Max was helping him out out a lot so he was kind of put in a bad position but I too thought that was messed up that he chose Max over her but if he didn't he wouldn't have his ship

I still haven't seen Saturday's new ep but I'll post my thoughts here once I've seen it.

In a lot of ways Toby Stephens is living the dream for boys ages 5 to 50 on a daily basis while filming the Starz series Black Sails. He dresses as a pirate and gets to play with swords along the coast of South Africa. Luckily for the show, his performance as Captain James Flint, the crestfallen commander on the hunt for Spanish treasure, is far from a game to the London-based actor. The show's high drama quotient, intense battle scenes, and quick dialogue follow the current cable series trend of upping the stakes. "It's a pretty grueling schedule," says Stephens, on location in Cape Town. On top of the demanding production schedule, the filming conditions during winter are far from ideal, and the water is, in his words, "Beyond cold." Fortunately, Stephens comes from good acting stock, his mother being the incomparable Dame Maggie Smith of Downton Abbey, and his efforts, along those of the talent of showrunners Robert Levine and Jonathan Steinberg, result in glorious sea bound tale that will no doubt shiver your timbers. Difficult as it is, Stephens was happy to explain why it's a pirate life for him.
