LGBTQIA Campaign[

This thread is to campaign for a board to celebrate the LGBTQIA community. There could be threads for tv shows, movies, books, ships, etc that represent these groups. As well as discussions for support, representation, and so on. The board would aim to be a safe and welcoming space. 🌈

Yeah, I think that for Requests it's still mandatory to at least have a list of supporters. *thinking* I read it recently and had to go through a different campaign to make sure it was actually up-to-date.

I'll help! Obviously there is SKAM, Heartstopper, Young Royals right off the top of my head.

I've actually come across quite a bit of animated shows that have amazing representation. There's also Asian BL dramas which can be quite the wormhole

Yes Sex Education! I really need to go through my list of shows to pick things out because I know darn well I am not thinking of obvious ones.

Gossip Girl (HBO) has lesbian, pan, bi, & trans main characters
NCIS New Orleans had a lesbian main in later seasons
NCIS Hawaii has two lesbian mains who are a couple
Charmed (CW) had a lesbian main throughout & in the last season had a bi main
Grey's Anatomy had Callie & Arizona (bi & lesbian representation)
Lost Girl had a bi lead
The Conners has one of the characters come out as gay & has explored his journey
Will & Grace
House had Thirteen who was bi but not sure if that was more a sweeps thing at times
Vampire Academy (show) has a f/f couple, no sexualities revealed for either character

That is all my tired brain can think of right now...

Basically yes, a safe space for all positive rep. What makes good rep, couples that deserved better, couples that were ahead of their time, celebrity advocates, news, personal stories etc.

People can pick & choose what they want to talk about then too. I know the thread on EL&I used to have things like that but it got lost, went a bit political for a bit too. Scared some away.

As my brain wakes up a bit more:
Buffy The Vampire Slayer had Willow (but arguably she's either good lesbian representation or an example of bi-erasure) & Tara
Sara Lance from Arrow & Legends of Tomorrow
FBI: Most Wanted has a lesbian main but you've got to watch the right episodes for that to come up/to see her wife
Law & Order: Organized crime has a lesbian main

Dick Wolf has probably had other characters in his shows, but they're not always good representation. I also haven't watched all of his shows
