Chris was clearly snubbed at the awards, not only was he not nominated for the Oscars and Golden Globes, he was also not nominated in many of the smaller awards too, I don't know why, many people thought he totally deserved to at least be nominated for 'Best Actor'. His co-stars Ben Foster and Jeff Bridges were both nominated for some awards and they even won a few, but I truly believe that Chris' amazing performance in this film was right up there on par with them both, so I think Chris definitely deserved to be nominated just as much as the other 2. Virtually everyone who saw the movie believed that this was Chris' real breakthrough role in terms of his raw acting talent...sure many people knew Chris as Kirk in 'Star Trek' and 'Steve Trevor' in WW, and many think these were his breakthrough roles commercially. But many people believe that his role as Toby in this movie is his true breakthrough role where he really showcased his true acting talents as an actor, everyone believed that his acting in this movie was Oscar-worthy...but in the end he was still snubbed by virtually every award

But Chris seems very gracious and humble about it all, he didn't seem to mind the fact that he wasn't nominated, and he doesn't seem that interested in fame either, it just seems like he is perfectly happy just doing the job he loves doing and mainly just picking the types of roles that he likes, he doesn't really seem to care about wanting fame or awards. I've said this before but I'll say it again, Chris is probably the most humble and gracious actor I know
