IKR? I was so tense and distracted watching that ep because we didn't see Ghost anymore and I assumed he was dead.

Tell me about it... I was also searching for him in the episode and I really thought he had died

How ironic because Ghost could've died so easily but he outlived most of the characters on the show so that's something.

It was easy enough to kill him and they could've saved on the VFX too. I wonder what their decision was to let him live? Fan service?

I think it was just fan service and to let us know that Nymeria is alive otherwise that scene can be forgettable too because it was so short and it wasn't even as emotional as it should be.
