The Night's Watch #2: "There's still a Night's Watch?" "The world will always need a home for bastards and broken men."
"Night gathers, and now my watch begins. It shall not end until my death. I shall take no wife, hold no lands, father no children. I shall wear no crowns and win no glory. I shall live and die at my post. I am the sword in the darkness. I am the watcher on the walls. I am the shield that guards the realms of men. I pledge my life and honor to the Night's Watch, for this night and all the nights to come." __________________

TFTNT Si! I like the thread title.
I'm glad you finally watched them. LotR is my favorite book & movies after Harry Potter. __________________

No problem As you know, titles are not my forte But I did remember this quote from the last season
I still need to watch/read HP. But you're so right, LOTR is awesome! I keep wanting to rewatch it, as I only watched once, I bet now I'll see tons of details I missed in my first viewing __________________

RotK made me cry. And it won all the Oscars that year it was nominated for, every single one of them. The Oscars usually don't care for fantasy films so that was a very nice surprise.
The Fellowship kind of reminded me of the Night's Watch (minus the betrayal) especially with the brotherhood and camaraderie. __________________

Oh yeah, I totally got the Night's Watch vibe when I saw the Fellowship Also, it's always surreal for me to see Sean Bean in that movie __________________

That's probably the 1st movie I've seen Sean in. And thus started his endless list of characters always dying.

I like it when characters sacrifice their lives so that others get to live.

Me too And doing it in such a heroic way, makes the death a bit less sad, and way more important

Exactly. And those deaths always get me because they are more meaningful, imo.
