And to me at least, I was already not a shipper in the show, it made it even harder for me even like Jon/Dany together because it felt like his personality was erased for the sake of the relationship. Even when Sam came to tell him that Daenerys had killed his brother and father he just defended her (not that I was hoping he would turn against her, but he didn't even show Sam a bit of solidarity for the loss)

I agree. He really lost his personality in those last 2 seasons which was really frustrating. So all of those great character developments for the first 6 seasons kind of went down the drain along with the R+L=J theory.

 I was/am a Jon's fan, and seeing my favorite being turned into a schmuck just annoyed me, and that's not even mentioning the best plot of the show being forgotten and having no real consequence __________________

Even this friendship just kind of faded too in the end. Jon & Sam are the best of friends and they barely interacted when Jon got back.

So disappointing
 Sam went through a lot in his time away from the Night's Watch, not to mention Jon actually freaking died... and yet when they saw each other again it was just so emontionless__________________

I think that since Sam was part of the Night's Watch, there should've been a scene where he finds out about the mutiny and a little scene between him and Jon, as Jon was always there to protect him and this time Sam couldn't be there.

They did have that 'goodbye' scene at least but I wanted them to interact more in S8. __________________
