I think the fact that the plan and execution of that wasn't well done, it took away the excitement because our brain kept yelling "you're stupid"

Exactly. I was so hopeful about that ep and I was even nervous. Then those last 10 minutes happened.
 Was the re-appearance of uncle Benjen in the same ep?__________________

 It was too much happening at once... let's not even discuss the fact that Gendry that had never seen snow or been in the North managed to run back to the wall by himself so quickly, and then Daenerys flew half the country in like a couple of hours   Ugh... the timeline really takes away the fun for me!! Mostly because I was used to the snail pace that the show had being realistic regarding distances and all that__________________
