HAHA! I'm the opposite. I don't recommend TV shows to friends because I'm not sure if my taste is what they like. Although with the bulk of people watching GOT, I'm pretty sure it's must-watch TV for people who like the fantasy genre.

I always say... go watch it, hang in there through the gore and sex and just pay attention to the story/characters One way or another, they always ended up at least watching it to see how it goes
But yeah, there are some friends that I'm sure won't like it, so I don't make them. But the ones I know appreciate a good story and not only ships in shows, I always recommend GOT __________________

That's the other thing that keeps me from recommending GOT: the nudity & gore/violence, especially during the earlier seasons. They have noticeably trimmed down on that for the latter seasons (especially the nudity) which is good.

^ITA There was so much nudity and sex in the first few seasons, and so unnecessary, so I like the cut down on that

Yeah most of the nudity was unnecessary really. Too much even. It was practically non-existent by the time we get to S6 I think? Well not non-existent but you'd notice it was lesser than the 'usual'.

^ it was an improvement they've wasted far too much time with the sex in previous seasons

Was that scene from S5? The one where Jon first meets the NK and the WWs?

I think that the scene could be when they're back at the Wall with all the Wildlings waiting to see if Thorne was going to open the gate.

I was actually lukewarm to him at the start but then he just became unbearable and kind of a prick.

when it felt like he was just looking after the Night's Watch I understood him.. but then he just showed that he wasn't that interested in that, more in being in charge and being against Jon without giving it a second thought, so yeah, jerk guy
