It just expanded on that, there are some quotes from various theater owners about it. And supposedly Pixar isn't happy because Luca and Soul both went straight to streaming without any theater release in the U.S.

Personally, I think it might be a good idea to rerelease some pandemic era films when theaters reach full capacity again.

Soul was super successful and has won awards so Pixar should be okay with it?

Chloe Zhao won the BAFTAs. Everyone's saying she's already sure to win the Oscars too.

I think it was more the people who worked on those specific movies. And I get it. If something I worked on was getting a different type of release than the companies' other movies, I would be upset too. Also movies seen in the theater can be a communal experience that brings people together. I think Pixar does this much better than other movie companies.

for Chloe! She also won the DGA for this year. That pretty much means the Oscar is hers.

I agree. As long as there's a safer way to release movies at the cinemas, then we should all be back watching movies at the cinemas soon.

If she wins the Oscar that will be a sweep for her which is amazing.
