Which sounds like a joke considering all episodes this season supposedly broke the records in amounts of money spent, and they couldn't use a tiny bit of that for a tiny little direwolf scene?!?!?! Makes me so mad

They really have money so I don't know why they'd be concerned over budgets. That scene was a glaring reminder of them butchering Jon's story arc this season. S1-S7 Jon would've pet Ghost.

And they probably just wanted the show to be over with quickly. HBO has a production sked for the prequel this fall too.

Yeah, I think Jon S1-S6 would've done it... we haven't seen Ghost since then, so in season 7 Jon sort of had already forgotten Ghost
