Happy New Year everyone!
 I don't usually drink for New Year but I did this time so I was tipsy in the early morning of January 1st. After waking up so late and wasting the entire morning sleeping, I just ate and spent time with the family then went back home and slept. So yeah, I wasted an entire day sleeping.  I'm back to work on Monday.__________________

 I hope everyone had a good New Year. I slept late on January 1st too, Lindsay. I don't know why, I didn't drink alcohol or go to bed late. I'm back to work on Monday. Yes, Si. There is always time for cleaning. I might leave it until after the weekend. Technically, I'm still on Christmas holidays.  __________________

I had a very hard time sleeping on New Year's Eve. I woke up three or four times during the night.
 So I just gave up a little before 5am and started my day.  __________________

Julie, I also don't drink (just wine and in moderation plus I don't drink beer anymore) and I don't sleep late. But I did both of those.
Good thing with drinking wine, you get no headaches and you don't feel like throwing up. So it was a good kind of tipsy.  Pia, you might be stressed? I have a hard time sleeping sometimes and it's mostly due to stress. Some music, watching TV or wine makes me sleep better. What I do hate is when I wake up, it's hard for me to go back to sleep. __________________

Luckily, I usually don't have trouble sleeping. If I wake up early, I usually go back to sleep.
I'm going back to work on Tuesday instead of Monday because there won't be much work for me to do tomorrow so I'm using an extra day of paid holiday. So I'm still in Christmas mode. __________________

I'm usually OK with sleeping. I had a lot of trouble sleeping again last night. But these things usually pass. It's not forever.

Julie, lucky you. I'm already back at work and it's manageable but fairly busy.
 Pia, true. We get days where it's hard to sleep. I really hate when that happens.  __________________

It turns out that I'm on furlough again so it will be maybe a month until I am back at work. Luckily, I have some holiday to use up so I will be paid in full until I use up the holiday pay, then I will be on 80% wages. I think I might actually do some cleaning at home soon. I need to do some work at some point. __________________

Yes, it still feels like 2020. Hopefully, the vaccines will make a difference. I hope to be vaccinated some time this year.

I hope everyone gets vaccinated here.
 I'm not sure when I'll get my chance. Our rollout hasn't gone well so far. I feel like it's 2021, but when I write the date I keep writing 2020 out of habit. And we got our first bit of sunshine of 2021. Julie, work was similar for me. I went back and was laid off 2 weeks later. Luckily, they keep extending the unemployment so I'm surviving. __________________

I don't fall in any of the category that needs to get vaccinated right away + we won't get vaccines here until 2022.
Even the New Years celebrations. Yes there were fireworks but it looks all so sad. __________________

I used to do that, write the previous year in the current year, but so far I've not made that mistake yet. Probably because I wanted 2020 to end already.
