Julie, hahahaha! I love a "nice cuppa".

Si, yeah it's much 'safer' to go to coffee shops like Starbucks or CBTL when travelling. Our local coffee shops of course are much cheaper.

Yep when you're in a new city it's better to get what you already know how it will taste I love to try new things, but sometimes you just want the usual and not be adventurous
But yeah, the prices in local shops are way better for the every-day situation

Julie, I'm learning a lot of British slangs from watching too many British TV shows. Misfits and Peaky Blinders were a baptism of fire for me because some of the accents are hard to understand.

Si, although I'm a bit adventurous with food when I travel. I always try to eat the local food (as long as I'm not allergic to it). Like one time I was in Hongkong and my friend suggested to eat at McDonald's and I was like "McDonald's? Are you serious?"

I love British accent... but yeah sometimes it's hard to understand but so nice to hear

I'm all about try new dishes, I'm lucky not to be allergic to anything, but depending on how long I'm traveling, I don't feel adventurous every day But yeah, you'll hardly ever see me in a McDonald's if I have the chance of trying out the local cuisine

Julie, the accent on Peaky Blinders is Brummie (Birmingham)? I always need subtitles to watch that show.

Si, what countries have you been to?

I had to look up the accent of Peaky Blinders because I've never seen it. The maker of the show was explaining that it was mostly a Birmingham accent with a bit of Liverpool too. One of the characters has a bit of London too because he had lived in London. Accents can be tricky to work out if people move around.

That's true. I think the accent that most foreigners are used to hearing is RP, which is the one they use on the BBC News. Heck, I used to not understand Scottish before but then eventually I got used to it too.

I love accents, but can't hardly ever recognize them

I have only been to Paraguay a few times and once to Argentina and the USA

I'd love to visit all of those but it's all a very expensive trip for me. All of my trips abroad are only in Asia and the farthest I've been on a flight is 3/4 hours to Thailand. I love to travel. If it's the only thing I'll do for the rest of my life, I'd be fine with that.

I love the English West Country accents. I have lived in Cornwall since 2002 but I haven't picked up much of the accent, unfortunately! My accent is still mostly South East England which is a bit like a Cockney accent but not as extreme.

Julie, this accent? I think this accent varies for me, depending on the actor (if that makes sense)? This accent sounds like James Corden?

Si, same with me over on that side of the world. I would love to visit Spain, Brazil and SA.

I like James Corden's accent

Well, if you ever start planning to come to Brazil, let me know I'd love to meet up and visit some cities with you Like Rio and Sao Paulo that are 2 of the biggest touristic cities are ones that I've been to a few times so I could guide
