If this is the last solo Wonder Woman movie in the DCEU set in the past, then Patty could have something impacting happen that could be the reasoning she became how she was in BvS. At least that's what I'm thinking. Patty could ignore that though.

I feel like JL also makes it seem like the chronology is WW ---> Diana laying low --> BvS ---> JL. To put WW2 set right after WW still seems strange to me, because we won't be seeing any of the character growth we saw in JL or anything.

That's definitely what it feels like. After the first WW, Diana wasn't as naive, but she still had a desire to do something and be a Wonder Woman for the people. BvS wasn't the same outlook, so it really only makes sense that WW2 bridges the gap between the two movies. And yeah, it stinks we won't see her progression after JL where she is now comfortable being back in the world of superheroism, but I guess we will at another time.
