Thank you for the new thread!
So, uh, we're getting closer to Wonder Woman 1984's October release date. I read this article yesterday that the film may be delayed until next year, which okay, if that happens, yes, it would suck to have it delayed again but the character of Wonder Woman will be celebrating a big birthday next year: 80! Ever since they pushed back the August date I was at the point that I'll believe the release date sticks when I see it. I never bought the October date would happen so if they push it back for the 700th time I won't be surprised. Every time the date gets close they cave. Why even bother announcing a release date if your NEVER going to stick to it?

Thanks for posting all the panel info and yes I also have my doubts about the current release date, I feel like it might really be pushed to next year, the thing is that if the release it before there is a vaccine for covid, too few people actually go to the movies and the revenue will be way too small, it will be a flop.

I think they just have to accept that just like other things have taken a hit and aren't making as much as they used to, the same could happen to movies. Who knows if it will ever be the same, it is what it is. Constantly pushing it back isn't going to help it either. I still think it would make a lot of many cause many fans have been waiting and eager to see it.

I guess you might be right with that, since fans are anticipating it a lot and I'd also prefer seeing it this year tbh.

It's getting worse. Well they didn't Push Tenet and also Dune hasn't been pushed yet, so not sure why they keep doing that with WW84.

It is annoying that it seems they are scared to release it why be scared when the trailers have made it look pretty amazing to me -- I can appreciate their original pushing back to not want to compete with SW's even if I've yet to see the last movie, no idea how it did in cinema's [even if the entire sequel trilogy was questionable and Solo probably wasn't well received -- its smarter to not go against SW] but any logical person knows not to compete with SW especially if you want your movie to be the blockbuster ... its not smart to put 2 blockbusters against each other
All those baby-step "release dates" were unreasonable like June or August? Really? You think pandemic will be undercontrol This October date had given me hope but now F9 pissed me off delaying until April 2021 but think they did the right thing and others that thought 2020 could still see releases should have done the same pushed into 2021 __________________

I'm just now catching up on the news. I can't say that I'm surprised WW1984 has been delayed again. At this point though, I think the studio should consider releasing digitally. There's only so much delay news we can take.
Disney tried this with Mulan, it's a premium rental on Disney Plus and I know the new Bill and Ted movie was available On Demand as well. Let's face it, no one is going back to the theaters until we have a vaccine. That's just reality. __________________
