former hurricane-now tropical storm Michael blew through us Thursday night, so many tree branches and leaves to rake up, traffic lights had no power all day today!

what a clustermess of traffic and overworked cops, took me twice as long to go to work and come home, ugh. oh well, coulda much worse, like Florida and Georgia. wishing them well in disaster recovery efforts.

Did you have more than one day without power since then?

i only lost power for about 45 minutes at one point, then two hours the next day when they were doing repairs on the local grid. the traffic lights were off for two days

because they were on the city line and another grid entirely, and damaged by many trees being knocked over. that two days of cops directing traffic was fortunately mostly Saturday and Sunday, not the workweek madness, whew! everything is pretty much back to normal now, just piles of logs, leaves, branches, and bags of trash everywhere. ugh.

I had to wait almost an hour at dentist appt.... someone gave me the wrong time of my appointment

And had our bad guys taken away
We all had a superhero party the following day

there were a couple in the early morning hours, but the cops were at the intersections by 8:00am, and were there all weekend directing traffic. the lights were on during the evening Sunday night, so the work week went well traffic-wise. i'm not the biggest fan of police, but directing idiot selfish drivers is a tiring, thankless job. thanks, officers.

Nic...have you seen any good Hallmark movies lately... Danielle Panabaker is going to be on a Christmas movie this year. Teddy Sears was on one last year and I think the year or so before that... Katrina Law was in a Hallmark Christmas movie a few years ago.
