Yes I know those two stargirl pojects are completely different things, also disney doesn't have the rights for any DC characters I think.

I never really cared for Stargirl in the comics, I still think it's such an odd choice for a show runner when they could have chosen Wonder Girl or Power Girl or someone more popular.

I've never heard of Stargirl before so I'm intrigued with how the show will go.

Comic writer geoff johns, who is also co-producing the shows on DCU, created that comic character based on his younger sister who died in a plane crash many years ago, for him it's a very important project and he did a lot to get it out there. Plus it features the JSA which is quite famous.

Glad the show is finally coming to light now
