I think using Brainiac was inspired by the Supergirl series and Krypton.

Though I honestly would have preferred Brainiac in a MoS movie, because I feel like they could do something unique for a Supergirl movie, but it feels like they're sticking to more of a formula this time around? I'm not sure since we have no information about anything concrete yet. We'll probably have to wait and see.

In an ideal world. We would have MOS2 with Brainiac and Supergirl debuting in it. Then after MOS2, Supergirl would get her spin-off. Plus having Brainiac make his first live-action movie debut without Superman, and doing another Supergirl movie without Superman just feels wrong.

That's a really good plan. I think that's what I would prefer as well. MoS2 as a stepping stone to two important characters, one a villain and another a superhero, would be interesting, especially if it also furthered Clark's character.

It would further Clark's character. We have seen Clark encounter other Kryptonians before in movies, but encountering Kara would take it to another level. She's his own flesh and blood. Then add Brainiac who could've been the mastermind behind Krypton's demise, and if he is after Kara and wants to cause Earth's demise. Then it would be a more personal fight for Clark, also we would see him mentoring Kara, and instead of a physical fight. Clark would face off with Brainiac in a more personal mental way.

I agree. I think that would make a great plot for a movie and hit most of the points people want from MoS2. I would love it!

Thanks for the news, everyone! I'm excited to hear the music on the Watchmen series since they're being so serious about what they want in it.

I didn't mind the idea of Joaquin as the Joker, but I'm not sure what to make of the movie from the clip and how he might do. I'll wait until seeing the movie to make a real judgment.

That's a good point. In the comics and animated movies, I always preferred learning about his backstory through a Batman story and Joker's being placed in there. It always works that way. I don't want to judge too soon, so I'll see the Joaquin movie before making a full judgment, but I'm not sure what to think at this point. The clip didn't get me too excited.
