Yeah we did, but the last flashback was the saddest... and actually I HATED everything about the scene to be quite honest.

Clark watching Jonathan die just because Jonathan ordered him to would never make sense to me. I wish they would have had Jonathan die another way.

My family and I feel the same way about Clark watching Jonathan die , though from the standpoint that it was ingrained in him never to use his powers in public from a young age (even if the face of someone dying), it logically and psychologically makes sense. However, I still wish they would have had him die a different way.

Makes total sense that it should have been done differently cause always had been previously heart attack

Yes it had been, actually EVERY time I watched was due to a heart attack...

For me his death in this does ZERO for me... I just can't even imagine Clark watching Jonathan die... even if Jonathan asked him. I believe that's one of the time when he would be selfish...

So they should've just had him die due to heart attack again or something better than the Man of Steel movie....
