The fact its being reviewed over a month in advance tells me this will be a winner. I was skeptical because I didn't vibe with the look of the Joker. But the trailers have sold me and I have to remember this is Joaquin Phoenix who I've been a fan especially with his work in Inventing the Abbots, Gladiator, Signs, Walk The Line and The Master. Not to mention De Niro is in this. That's acting prestige right there.

Joaquin is a great character actor. I still remember his earliest 2000 film role in Gladiator opposite Russell Crowe (who is also a part of the DC universe, same as Connie Nielsen). I'm really excited to see this film when it finally debuts and what he brings to the role. On a side note, I am glad that he isn't going to try and copy Heath's portrayal but pay homage to him. This should be a brand new take and interpretation of the Joker.

It's also not meant to be tha classic joker that fell into acid. He's more an elseworld joker not in the DCEU's Gotham.
