Don't even bother exposing yourself to those people they're not worth the time and honestly are narrowminded as I've ever seen. If I loved the comics to the point where I didn't want a show to get it wrong and follow it scene for scene I'd just read the comics over and over.

I agree that the cop drama along with the comic arcs is great! It was originally supposed to be about the journey of Jim Gordon too which makes me baffled that peoples complaint is that it doesn't follow batman lore "correctly"

I love remixes and think that it brings something extra rather than just another rehash of what we've already seen but some people will never see it that way..oh well. I'll just enjoy what is an amazing show and take it for what it is.

GOTHAM [1X01-1X07]

If you wanna follow the tag - you're get a bit of a review of the first 7 episodes, the "first arc" where think doing a binge is actually helping me appreciate the show more. First two seasons are a rewatch cause was weekly when aired, hadn't seen since

CHARACTERS

Really do like the beginning feel of how they are introducing the main characters associated to like Gordan which the whole series is being based off him, really like the start of them showing Bruce being a "detective" in his own sense by trying to figure out what is going on associated to his parents death, Gotham, Wayne Enterprises. Like originally Harvey was amoung one of my favorites, he's interesting and the episode of his case from 10 years even adds more to him. Than you've got people like Barbara and Edward who are currently more like secondary characters but yet still starting on them. Also like the slowness affiliated to Selina cause it builds curiousity about her especially her last appearance associated to dropping in to the Wayne Manor and her seeming curiousity over Bruce

Now the villains are interesting too cause as far as I remember is that Jada's Fish is an original character, doesn't matter to me because Jada Smith is remarkable as Fish. So BAMF and just love her. Penguin is intriguing too cause he's got himself in everywhere, both crime families and just being a sneaky like fellow. As far as I'm aware from movies, is that he's just in 1 and don't know if he's in big with animated or comics but for me I like the feel that the series is taking lower based characters and bringing them in deep for the series

CHARACTER RELATIONS

This is another thing that intrigues me that within 7 episodes, really already showing some strong relations affiliated to Bruce|Gordan plus Gordan|Harvey are both intriguing relations. Also Alfred|Bruce is always a main point affiliated to Batman, so am really excited to continues to see more of the Alfred|Bruce

The other is like I mentioned above affiliated to Penguin getting his little nose in with EVERYBODY, starts off with Fish than both crime families. Penguin thinks that Gordan is his friend so looking forward to seeing what more Penguin gets himself into. Another note is the families, any version of the movies I've seen the families were not that focused on, can make an argument for Batman Begins but even than I felt it was more of Scarecrow and what he was doing for Ra's. So I'm liking that the show started off with the family rivilry

OVERALL FEEL

Over the first 2 seasons watching live, it was a bit of an on and off again. There would be storylines that I would love than wouldn't watch again cause it was an off tme, So its where I am now, watched first half of 3rd season than was both off but RL stuff. So its why I decided to do the first 2 seasons as a re-watch cause it had been so long and thought maybe a binge could help me get into the mood. Heard 3B was remarkable and 4th is starting off strong

Could be from binge but felt a strong first 7 episodes - it did well with the premiere and felt it continued its pace. Liked the willain of the week that went to the overall feel of how the city was corrupt and "dying" where it was showing Gordan related to his wanting to do something about it, showing him good and wanting to save the city at this point. So felt the first 7 episodes was good introducing to him plus outside of him showing what Bruce was starting to do PLUS the families rivilry where loved 1x07 especially at the end showing what Penguin had been doing, it really connected the dots all together

I liked it overall. I really like ben mackenzie as jim gordon. I don't like barbara that much though. And the kid who plays bruce wayne is a really perfect cast!

I'm curious to see how much this continues to integrate with the batman story.
