Their the best Batman films and the most gritty out of the four films. I still think MK is the best Batman, and Joker, Penguin, and Catwoman were such great villains. MP's Catwoman is the best Catwoman IMO, and her chemistry with Batman was so damn good in Batman Returns. I also think the first Batman film inspired Batman TAS to be dark and serious like the movie was, which was one of the reasons the show became so popular. They are definitely worth checking out.

They had a lot of influence on what came later on.

Nice, but I'd have preferred an animated series tbh.

Quinones been trying to do Burtonverse Batman comics but in the past WB/DC kept rejecting it but now that they're bringing Keaton back for The Flash Movie seems they finally gave Quinones the green light to do it. Also even though they announced comics for both the Burtonverse, and Donnerverse it's only the Burtonverse one that will continue where the last movie left off at. Another thing the writer for these Burtonverse comics is Sam Hamm who did the scripts for 89, and the original script for Returns. Now, I could be wrong but with the timing of everything I just think the main reason WB/DC is doing this is to fill in the blanks to Keaton's Batman before The Flash Movie is released. Quote:

Yeah agree with the things you said below. It makes sense it's a tie in for the flash movie. Well can't wait to see this batman again in live action.
