Their the best Batman films and the most gritty out of the four films. I still think MK is the best Batman, and Joker, Penguin, and Catwoman were such great villains. MP's Catwoman is the best Catwoman IMO, and her chemistry with Batman was so damn good in Batman Returns. I also think the first Batman film inspired Batman TAS to be dark and serious like the movie was, which was one of the reasons the show became so popular. They are definitely worth checking out.

No problem. Also the Burtonverse will continue in the comics as well starting this July I think.

Nice, but I'd have preferred an animated series tbh.

Well, while that would've been cool I'm thinking these comics will be like a tie in to The Flash Movie.

Quinones been trying to do Burtonverse Batman comics but in the past WB/DC kept rejecting it but now that they're bringing Keaton back for The Flash Movie seems they finally gave Quinones the green light to do it.

Also even though they announced comics for both the Burtonverse, and Donnerverse it's only the Burtonverse one that will continue where the last movie left off at.

Another thing the writer for these Burtonverse comics is Sam Hamm who did the scripts for 89, and the original script for Returns.

Now, I could be wrong but with the timing of everything I just think the main reason WB/DC is doing this is to fill in the blanks to Keaton's Batman before The Flash Movie is released.

The Movie Worlds of Superman '78 and Batman '89 Are Heading to Comics in Two All-New DC Digital First Series!
Quote:
Continuing the twisted adventures of DC’s Dark Knight from Tim Burton's seminal classic Batman movies, Batman ’89 brings in screenwriter Sam Hamm (Batman, Batman Returns) and artist Joe Quinones (Dial H for Hero) to pull on a number of threads left dangling by the prolific director. The gothic mentality behind the world, while still rooted in a sense of realism, helped inform many of DC’s global fans’ first impressions on the Dark Knight's Gotham. In the new Batman ’89 comic, Hamm and Quinones will help usher in the return of Selina Kyle/Catwoman and will debut a new Robin! Plus, Quinones has a vision for Harvey Dent/Two-Face that is as close to movie magic as a comic can get!
Quote:
Superman ’78 and Batman ’89 will debut with six digital chapters of each new series on July 27, followed by new chapters of each comic book for the six weeks that immediately follow. The twelve chapters of each new series will also publish as six printed comics between August and October and as hardcover collections in October (Batman ’89) and November (Superman ’78).

Yeah agree with the things you said below. It makes sense it's a tie in for the flash movie. Well can't wait to see this batman again in live action.
