Same thing for me. That's why I'm upset at what is happening with DCEU because the same thing happened with DCEU... AND the same thing happened with the Tim Burton Batman films... Seems DC keeps making the same mistake with these films... or let's say after the first 2 films the franchise is doomed?

Luckily the Dark Knight trilogy avoided all of that.

But of course the same thing that happened with the Christopher Reeve Superman movies happened with the Tim Burton Batman movies...
For the 3rd installment of the film "Batman: Forever" Tim Burton was asked to take a seat down and of course let Joel Schumacher be in charge of the time. And the actor who was portraying Batman at the time in Michael Keaton QUIT the whole thing after that stupid move...
And it messed up the franchise because you had Val Kilmer portraying Batman and than George Coonely.... and Batman Forever and Batman & Robin went on to become the 2 most disliked movies for Batman....

Ridiculous those 2 movies are a continuation of the Tim Burton films... and I can say I happily never watched any of those films... best to remember it ending with Batman Returns in 1992.

I agree... it's so crazy that the Christopher Reeves Superman franchise and Tim Burton Batman franchise BOTH fell apart after the 2nd movie.

So who knows how much greater it could've been if both didn't have the backstage issues.

It's definitely brings a lot of questions of how movies would have been if the same people stayed on through each movie, which I think is important so all the style work together.

Agreed, and it's pretty unfortunate because both films had such a great start. Superman I & II are like equal! Superman III... things just were different.

Batman & Batman Returns are about equal... I loved both about the same. lol Batman Forever.... recast and a different world and from what I hear, not a great movie compared to the first 2.

But we never got to see the REAL finished franchise for either. So it was a let down for the cast, crew and especially fans.

I always knew them as separate

never knew the movies were all connected to make 4 movies - so guess can just ignore and go back to seeing them separate aka why 2 separate threads
