They're just building everything in the 1st season, well this show because it didn't have as many ep's so in S2 they had alot more to play with

I don't think there's anything specific, but I really liked the fact that the entire season was thought out. Everything had an explanation and came full circle. The season was very well rounded and planned. It was just so good.
