I can easily see that happening. His sister is well-behaved,level-headed and mature. Even when she tries to help him,he rejects it. I can see him joining the Brotherhood b/c of people picking on him and persecuted him. His grandpa got killed by Sentinel Services and his dad got shot. That's only going to make him angrier.
