I don't even know what her life has been like..
I mean who's her mother? Has she had any contact with her family?

I dont know how they will do it in the show but comic wise her 'parents" died in a car crush but she survived but it was hee step parents

I don't know if you guys know this. But it seems in the comics she was a member of the X-Men. And I think she had a romance with Havok/Alex Summers as well.
