Yea that's what I took from it that if she left - may not be able to find it again or some type of magic would stop her from being able to return

If they sailed from the island to London, wouldn't they kinda know the way to get back to the island? Or at least somewhere in the general area.
I'm confused.

Anyway, I just want to see Diana reunited with her mother again.

I think that Diana would know. The impression I got from that line was that it might be too dangerous for Diana to return if Areas was looking for her; not that she couldn't return.

Add me, please? I want to see more of their relationship.
