so we had our first board rewatch here tonight/today
 of BVS, me and Ina as attendees and you know what? we want more rewatches!  reasons to love Diana - badass, kickass, take charge, totally skilled and massively impressive warrior extraordinaire  smart, sexy, sophisticated, keenly and instinctively aware persona  highly motivated and intensely focused strength of character and morality emotively alive being, full of love, compassion, sympathy, and empathy. insanely beautiful woman with mesmerizing eyes and a killer smile!  reasons to not love Diana - none |

i liked JL and very much agree that Diana was great and much the reason to watch it, but there were some great team moments, some humor, action, and enough there to keep me interested and looking forward to more DCEU and JL sequels. while i do have some quibbles with the many deleted scenes, weird editing, altered music score, and cut down runtime, i will reserve any opinions until i see what DC/Warner Bros offer on the blu-ray/dvd discs...will they offer an Extended Cut, maybe an Ultimate Cut as they did for BVS. that added 30min to the theatrical release and a much clearer version.
i did see a bunch of industry talking heads at Variety and THR, saying that the reason why JL was cut from 2:25min runtime to 1:56min theatrical version, was so Warner Bros could fit 10-12 showings of JL per day in 4,156 theaters, in the 10:00am - 12:30am hours of most theaters in the Regal and AMC theater chains, 12 showings being specifically possible in the AMC chain, at 2 hours or less, per showing, with a 30min cleaning the theater break between each showing. smh at this because they seriously deleted or edited out a bunch of scenes and shots. |
