After I finished watching the previous episode, I had a feeling that Rhea was going to try to force Mon-el into marriage. I just thought it would be done in the season finale…but the penultimate episode of the season sounds about right. Mon-el and Lena? I have much love for both of them…but I really don’t want to see them as a couple.

I loved that the Superfriends set up their resistance at the bar.

And of course Rhea was going to try to take down President Marsdin. President Marsdin was resisting Rhea’s new world order, and Cat’s idea of peace was clearly not an option. Rhea couldn’t have anyone challenging her. Cat getting sucked out of Air Force One and Supergirl saving her -- nice reunion for the two ladies.

Right? All she cared about was that National City was safe. She didn't care that their president was an alien.


I loved that Kara called Lena her best friend, and that she just admitted that she loves Mon-el. Best day ever! But it was also a sad day because they’re trapped on a ship that is moments away from destruction. She said losing them would break her heart. Me too, dear. Me too.

I loved what Cat told Kara, that the secret of happiness is human connection -- "It’s not about what you do. It’s about who you love" -- and that Kara wanting to rescue Mon-el and Lena was not selfish. It’s everything. Thanks for that bit of brilliance, Cat.
