Karen, I hate Serena but there's this little part of me that roots for her to break free of all that bullsht she was taught to believe and focus her energy on stuff that actually matters. She's such a smart, strong woman, just imagine how wonderful it would be if she joined the revolution after all. I wanted to kill her a lot of times but she's such a complex character I can't help but deep down root for her.

I could see glimpses of doubt in her eyes to be honest. Especially when she told June 'what we do here is so terrible' only to correct herself and say 'terribly difficult'. Deep down, she knows it's not right no matter how hard she tries to justify it with her faith.

I think she believes that there need to be more kids and perhaps there should be people that could help the people who are not able to get kids. I don't think she wants this rape world. I think she wants it to be more consentual
Though we know too little details about this actual book she's written to be sure about her actual thoughts.
I think she's just surviving in this world in the best way she can and that her ideas have been twisted to benefit the men in the world.

or she learns that her ideas are not that well thought out or doesn't work in this world and she regrets writing it?

She might know its not right. But she still had a hand in creating it. Maybe if they had gone after the ruling elite, she might have been more against it
