You should read some stories about the concentration camps. Nobody wants to revolt when they have a gun pointed at them. And there were far more of them also. It's very difficult to be brave when you know it will lead to either death or torture. I know if I was in that situation, I would be in survival mode. And that's what it's like for them.

Im very well aware of the history of concentration camps. My whole point is that it takes one person to stand up to start the movement. Just look at the beginning of any underdog story

What surgery did Ofglen have?
Fans of The Handmaids Tale are still confused about what happened to Ofglen (Alexis Bledel) when she was captured by the Gilead government.
Really? Were there people that didnt get what happebed?

That's probably why they included it in the first place.

I think so.. to make it known that these things can happen (and actually do happen in this world)

Yep. Love that the writers followed Atwood's premise of only including things that have happened in the real world.

Great pic.

^ that is cool yes, it makes it less fictional because you know it happens out there!

Yep. It's beyond sad and terrifying what human beings are capable of doing to each other, but it is reality and fiction is one of the mediums to at least try to make sense of it all.
