Kinda cool you started this and the instagram page for handmaid's tale is having the music composer in charge of their page for a little while! He's sharing some BTS stuff!

Hello All! I’m Adam Taylor, the composer for the show. I’ll be taking over THT Instagram from my studio in downtown Long Beach. While I was physically pretty far from everyone else in Toronto, I felt all the love and support from the whole cast and crew.

The producers and I decided to use a live orchestra for the soundtrack. Here we are waiting for the players on a violin and viola day for Episode 1. Shoutout to The Bridge, all the musicians and Encompass.

A key theme (titled "Chase" on the soundtrack album) was an early creation...@reedmorano requested a "psychologically disturbing piece" that could recur and develop. It took four tries. One was much less disturbing, the next one a little more disturbing, then it was too disturbing, and then I backed off. Dark and ominous, it represents the overwhelming evil of the nation that, in the series, replaces the United States. Thrilled this is on the @LakeshoreRecords album. #HandmaidsTale –AT @386music
