I did read that the family didn't like Philip for Elizabeth.

I definitely got that from it as well.. Nobody approved and still she got it done that she could marry him!

I'm sure Margaret knows this and is quite (mad) that she has to go through so many struggles to marry Peter..
Philip was in some regards a risk too for the monarchy.

I remember Margaret also said that when talking to Elizabeth about marrying Peter. But then I agreed with Elizabeth, that her situation had nothing to do with Margaret's one. Peter's divorce was the main issue

I also read that it took 8 years for Louis Mountabatten to get Elizabeth & Philip together since Philip has to renounce his Greek descent to be able to marry Elizabeth. Seriously, you have to give up a lot in your life to marry a royal.

And yes, while Philip's was complicated, at least he wasn't married/a divorcee. As head of the church, the monarchy frowns upon this too. It's different now right? Prince Charles re-married but if he is supposedly going to have kids with Camilla, do they carry titles like Prince or Princess or they do not since she's the second wife? Plus when Charles becomes king, do we address her as Princess or just the Duchess?

I am always curious about the reasons why he isn't one yet.

When Queen Elizabeth dies, Prince Charles becomes king. It's going to be a short reign even if he lives as long as his mother since he's already 68 y.o.
