Just learned today that my eldest brother is getting a divorce

sorry to hear that... I haven't seen a functioning marriage in my family ever tbh, there's lots of divorces and separations, and even when they stay together they're not getting along

it is. and it doesn't seem to change in my generation either

my cousins who are my age settle for bad relationships because they think they're running out of time.. but if there's big problems at the start I don't think it'll get better

no I don't think so either.. you got to have fun with your partner and be able to rely on each other if you take the next step
Though a relationship is never 100% perfect, I don't believe that, but you gotta love and enjoy each other enough to be able to handle that

Though you never know what life brings you and what may pull you apart or grow you closer.

yeah, there will always be problems but they gotta find common ground somehow. like with one of my cousins, she wants to get married and have kids as she's 33 now, but her boyfriend keeps evading all that and she told me that one day she's not gonna take her pills and surprise him by getting pregnant that way

I wouldn't call that very healthy
