Me neither; I mean even the most extreme cases where I've absolutely loathed a character I've still been able to make the separation between them and the actor, and if the character is a villain sometimes I end up liking the actor cause they're doing such an excellent job

I’d say there’s no point to watching a whole episode without JD but maybe we can watch that ending

Whichever you prefer Gelly since it's your first time watching. The finale basically sets up what's about to happen with Negan's entrance, so if you feel like you like to get a general feel for what's going on, then I'd say watch the whole episode. If you don't care about what happened leading up to it, that just the ending is perfectly fine.
