After the world Cup it went up a lot. But theres a big difference from attendance for say mancity and reading. Average attendance is like 800, but only bt sport show league matches that aren't Cup finals, so not many get to watch it.

But in terms of actual game play, it's a regular league unlike the top 4 go through for playoffs, which has is daft.

Ahh I see, thanks for explaining.

Free-to-air aren't showing the Matildas Algarve Cup games (if it was the men's they would be ) so I'm gonna have to add the sports pack to my pay-tv subscription so I can watch... then I'll just cancel it after . I hope we can eventually reach a time where women's sports are giving just as much air-time as the men's... it's bloody ridiculous.

They really need to have both men and women's sports on free to air tv.

Yep from my experience attending women's games vs men's, the women show so much more appreciation for their fans. They stay so long after their games to sign autographs and take photos, whereas the men duck out or hang around for maybe a minute. Tickets for men's games range anywhere between $60 and well over $100, women's tickets are $5-$20, and you get much better entertainment and value for that price. I think exposure is slowly starting to go in the right direction. Look at AFLW for example, they racked in a 40,000+ crowd the other week (but they don't charge for tickets.)

That's great to see then, hopefully the women doing that will bring more people to their games.

It's time women got the equality!!!

Like I was watching a conversation regarding women competing at 4x women bobsleigh. Only men currently do it. Women were only allowed recently to compete in the 2x women bobsleigh.
