 She gets a moment to be just Clarke, not leader, not Wanheda, just herself. And no expectations, as Niylah seems to be happy with the situation just as it is! __________________

Yeah and especially as you said Kate - they're two consenting adults. Everyone deals with pain and grief differently, this is just how Clarke does and that's okay. If Niylah hadn't stated how she felt and all that she said, it'd be a different story.

I for one enjoy this pairing and am curious to see where it's going
 I really like Niylah and the writers have given her enough of a history and backstory with Eliza by now to make her interesting to me __________________
