Of the Camden kids, she put the household through the most.
Took the drug pills, the first one drinking and smoking.
She even got kicked out in one of the most powerful episodes in season 5.

Mary was really the reblious one of the family but she was probably the most interesting one in a way...

I think in a way that's why the writers turned Simon with a bit more edge to keep Mary spirit in the show as well.

Simon and Mary are the only 2 Camdens to do most things opposite from how they were raised!
Simon saw it with Mary and sadly he followed some footsteps... although that happened after he accidentally killed someone in a car cash. That was the reason for Simon's spiral.

In season 6, after all the bad things Mary did, she wanted to get into Simon to now follow how she had been... since she know she wasn't the best influence.
