That would be a good way to link the 2 worlds

perhaps they all start blending into each other and that triggers what David refers to as the "major event."

I thought it was a good idea, just in case there are people who browse this thread only wanting to speculate instead of being full-on spoiled

Some boards have two separate threads for 'Spoilers' and 'Speculation', so I was just being careful.

If we don't need to use tags for this thread, then let me know and I'll post freely

you both make valid points.. the mall reminds me of the school in btvs it was the opening to the hellmouth

I do think ST writers have most likely seen Buffy. Like you said, it's eerily similar.

I still think the portal Eleven came through in the beginning of S2 at school, it´s the one through where The Mind Flayer escaped.

We also saw there was a portal on a tree (if I recall correctly) through where Nancy entered the Upside Down in S1. So for all we know that must be lots of portals to the Upside down.

Maybe that´s the "major event".

I didn´t even knew some Boards were using "Spoilers" and "Speculation".

I did came across some Boards using "Spoilers" but i never saw a "Speculation" thread

.

I do know there´s people who read some spoilers but others they don´t read

This would certainly explain all the cast's vague comments about Season 3 being "bigger".

I blame the Star Wars board for this

They have separate threads over there, so that people who are just making guesses based on what they what to happen, or based on leaks, must use spoiler tags for any spoilerish details.

. What I do remember was how much I loved Buffy and Angel. But I admit i kind of shipped Buffy with Spike too. Ups
