I wonder if Dark is the think that Will spit out in the last finale? Did it grow into the creature that Dustin found and now is growing even bigger? I cant believe it ate the cat! Dustin was such an idiot for trying to keep it as a pet, like wtf.

Poor Will, going through all this stuff. I feel so bad for him. Joyce is a great mom though. I love her and Hopper working together to figure out what's going on. So he's drawing vines? Maybe its a web, not vines? Like a big spider? And the end when Hopper went into that tunnel thing, what was that supposed to be?

Steve is hot! I felt bad for him when the bully brought up Nancy and Jonathan. I wonder how he will react to that. I just hope those two dont become friends and start doing mean things together.

I am getting a bit antsy with Eleven being locked up, I wish the others would find out about her already. I don't think the way that Hopper was yelling at her was right because he knows that she's been through a lot of trauma and was used to be locked up. To ground her I dont think is very smart. In a way it was cute though, with him acting all fatherly. Eleven on the other hand is starting to scare me a little with her anger. I hope that it doesnt get out of control. And we find out her name is Jane! (Unless they told us already and I forgot lol)

I LOVED the Nancy and Jonathan interaction SO MUCH. I love that she went to him for help. They are definitely getting in dangerous territory. But why did the lab people even let them inside and give them any sort of answers? Why did they just let them go too? Seems odd to me.

I think it's good that Will is opening up to his mother, he needs to. I'm glad he's reaching out and being honest.

Eleven being locked up is frustrating, i know it's for her own good, but it is upsetting.

My rewatch and way too long responses continues!

Mike, of course, is the one that finds Will in the field first. Actually quick side note I died at the road sign saying the speed limit is 20 mph when there are children around and there were TONS of children around, but Joyce came flying down the road Nothing can slow her down from trying to find her son.

The scene between Joyce and Will Honestly, give Noah an Emmy because his performance was outstanding. It must have been a comfort to Will to have his mom tell him that she believed what happened to him was real and thus he wasn't crazy. Although at the same time that probably made everything even more real to him than it was before. The way he described the way that shadow monster makes him feel everywhere was so heartbreaking. Seriously THIS SCENE is a stand out one.

And then right after that really big scene was another really big scene! This time between Hopper and Eleven. Once again I found Hopper rather scary in this scene. And once again Eleven can't seem to ignore her powers when she's emotional (like when she made Max fall off the skateboard because she was jealous). Eleven made all the windows in the house break And that was a conclusive and terrifying end to that battle! It's easy to see both sides of this argument. Hopper is wound up tight and worried they will be found out (he's also carrying a lot of baggage from his past as a father). Eleven is losing her mind cooped up like a rat in a cage which is one similarity she shares with her past life in a lab.

Dustin finds his friends searching for Dart who they don't know is stashed away at his house eating candy bars So he goes along with it tsk, tsk! Dustin wonders where Will is and Mike assures, believes, that Will is going to show up, but then we see Mike worriedly looking at Will's empty desk. I swear it's like Mike's occupation to be worried about Will. Little do they know Will is attempting to take a bath, but can't because shadow monster is afraid of the water and wants a bath that isn't as hot. Joyce doesn't understand and says they gotta get his body temp up, but Will says "No. He likes it cold." And THAT is what gave me major chills

Billy is mildly interesting in the basketball scene with Steve because first he's overly aggressive with him and knocks him over. Then he helps him up and gives him a tip about planting his feet to draw a charge. Hmm. Also, I still don't know what to make of that shower scene. There was a mood, a vibe from Billy. "A pretty boy like you has nothing to worry about." I got the same curious thoughts I had the first time I watched.

Seriously Noah. Give him an award. When Will is trying to explain to Hopper and Joyce what's going on in him it's just more heartbreak and you can see how hard the adults are trying not to freak out in front of Will. But they're both obviously freaked out. And this goes into Will's frantic coloring fest. Noah's performance just coloring on paper was even incredible and intense! Mike is trying to contact Will, of course. He wants to go to Will's house to see what's going on and if he's alright. They boys are theorizing that the shadow monster can't hurt him because in D&D it wouldn't, but as Mike explained it's real life, not a game. I think Mike also gets to Dustin slightly by saying Will heard Dart in the upside down and that finding him might help Will.

Admittedly, I wasn't too fond of Nancy and Jonathan's storyline. I thought it was the weakest of the season. They purposefully got captured by the lab and Dr. Owens explained to them the dangers of too many people, like Barbara's parents, knowing about what was going on (even saying the Russians might want to replicate what they were doing) and that, like the area around the portal, it was best to contain things from spreading. What I don't get is how such a strict and secure lab like that didn't even bother looking in Nancy's bag. Like how on Earth was she able to sneak a recorder into that place?

I like how they had something to decorate the Byer's home with this year Instead of lights it was crayon drawings of vines. I would have gone crazy trying to put all that together. Also I don't think I ever mentioned this, but the props team did a really amazing job making all those pumpkins look disgusting.

Max and Caleb fighting. Sigh. Caleb really was in a tricky spot and everything he said was absolutely true, but at the same time everything he says sounds lame and kind of crazy from the point of view of someone who has no idea what's going on. So Max is mad and good ole' Billy witnesses this encounter and says some bull about how they're family and that's why he has overly aggressive concern about Caleb bothering her. But he also says something about staying away from "that type" of people and I still don't know if he simply means people who don't treat her right or if there are racial undertones here.

It's amazing what Eleven can accomplish with a mere photograph Thanks to some files found beneath the floor board of Hopper's home she was able to track down a woman who she knows to be her mother and that woman recognizes her as Jane, which is her given name. Though I don't know if I can ever recognize her as Jane and not Eleven Millie's performance, as always, was powerful.

Joyce attempts to usher a worried Mike away from their home and Will, but Mike is like :Nono: because he actually has a correct hunch about what is going on.

I still can't believe Dart ate Muse. Justice for Muse

I also can and can't believe that Hopper dug his way into the upside down all by himself and didn't bother to tell anyone else what he was doing. Silly thing to do, sir!

Whew and that ends another incredible episode

I enjoyed this episode more than I did the previous few, but maybe because I was paying more attention to this one.

Really loved Jonathan and Nancy working together in this episode. The plot was a bit off to me but I really love their interactions. And the lab guy thinking they were together.

Dark is so creepy and it killed the cat, wtf! Dustin keeping it as a pet is not smart.

POOR WILL. I love him and his relationship with Joyce and how she was trying to help him. The drawing thing was cool and i love that Hopper was involved there.

Eleven's storyline is SO DULL this season. zzzzzzz.

Billy is an ass. When he grabbed Max like that, wtf.

yeah billy was a bad guy from the start.

not sure what dustin was thinking keeping dart, especially after it killed his cat. not a smart move at all.
