I kind of feel that Max became Eleven's replacement since she was gone and separated from the group most of the time. I didn't like how she's always sassing Dustin but was the complete opposite with Lucas but that's because she likes him more so that explains it. Overall, I feel like we can actually do away with the character and she was only brought in as a love interest for both Lucas & Dustin. :shrug: They even trolled us with Mike & Max for a bit just so Eleven can see them. :blank:

I’m not sure I liked that Max was used to cause friction between Lucas and Dustin as well as making her an object of jealousy and insecurity for Eleven. Hope some of that gets settled next season. I think I may have enjoyed this character better if she hadn’t been tied to some of that drama.

And same for me Miros. Her character wasn't really fleshed out and was only used to cause some sort of friction between Dustin & Lucas and then of course she was going to have friction with Eleven as well because Eleven saw her with Mike. Hopefully that changes when Eleven finds out that it's Lucas who Max likes. :)

I have seen many talk about how they were not the biggest fans of Max and it makes me frowny face because I feel like perhaps if she was a boy nobody would have taken issue with her? I understand why some felt resentful that Eleven didn't have a lot of screentime with the boys this season (I too felt that pain). But in no way was Max meant to take El's place among the group. In fact there was a scene, more than one, where Max herself points this out during her discussions with Mike which I think might have been partially to explain this to the fans. She wants to bring something new to the group. And she did. She's so fierce! And stood up to the personal shadow monster in her life, her step brother. It IS unfortunate that both Lucas and Caleb have crushes on her and that she only returns those feelings for one person. But she in no way was leading both of them on or anything. She is just in the middle of something that can happen quite a lot with friends at that age. I do hope she's not resented for it. Anyway! I love her! I hope she can have scenes with Eleven that are less frosty next season. I want these girls to be cute badasses together!
