Me too, I was wondering how they were going to bring him back (or if at all) but that scene felt very natural to me.

It seems that they will use him as flashback bec I remember he mentioned that in the interview that he will be in the flashback that we don't see much in S1..

Yeah I agree, I think probably we will see him from here and there even if he's gone but I like that he still has significance to the series in the afterlife.
