This is Us - "Pilot"

Neither did I! It was shocking to learn that Jack was in 1980 and everyone else was in the present. I wonder if Randall, Kevin, and Kate are starting to feel like they're in their own ways; turning into their father Jack like he was at 36? Thus, they're not living up to the example he set for them growing up? I hope in further flashbacks, we see some of the stories the three tell others of them growing up

Let's hope Jack's still alive and not in a nursing home somewhere at 72

I can't wait till next week.

Loved it!!

Everyone did such an amazing job! I'm interested/like in all the characters, but I really liked Rebecca, Jack, and Kevin, and Randall. I felt for all of them in their situations. That twist in the end...I knew it! After seeing the promos and reading the articles I had a feeling it was that twist. I like it! I can't wait to see more episodes!

Watching pilots is always a bit weird for me because you've spent all these months watching promos and things and you feel like you've already seen half the scenes already, but edited into a totally different configurations, so when you actually see the full scenes the rhythm seems off because you're used to the chopped up version. That said, I loved it. I'm really looking forward to the second episode for some fresh scenes.

I unintentionally ruined the twist for myself months ago by reading speculation on Milo's board, and I'm still mad at myself for that because I would've loved to be surprised, but it is what it is. Can't go back in time. I've sworn off spoilers for this show since then though.

They better not reveal Jack & Rebecca are broken up in the future 'cause I would not be okay with that.

Sidenote: Any other House of Cards fans just keep seeing Raymond Tusk as the doctor?

I hope they find a way to bring back that character once or twice. His scene with Jack in the hallway was one of the best parts of the episode.

I really enjoyed the pilot, it was so good!

I loved how easy it is to connect with the characters, especially considering this was only the first episode. It's definitely one of the best pilots I've seen in a long time.

I already knew about the twist but I love how it was revealed. I'm already excited for the next episode
