Yes, Kevin has said that but Jack/Kate had a special bond but he was never mean to her. In every flashback you see teenage!Randall being nice to his parents whereas teenage!Kevin is mean. You see kid/teenage!Randall trying his hardest to get kid/teenage!Kevin to like him and he gives him next to nothing.

Saying a real man would've stopped Jack going back. Grabbing him in front of everyone. I don't get why he takes it that far. Jealousy is one thing but being that self involved is another.

Well, Kate is a girl. Brothers feel usually protective about their sisters. Between brothers there is usually a competition. Especially when they are the same age. And I'm not excusing his behaviour. I'm just saying I know where he's coming from. And he's a hormonal teenager and it's not like Randall didn't say something hurtful to him as well. And they both lost a father few days back. Their mental state wasn't very good.

I just don't sympathize with Kevin's actions regardless of the excuses. He instigates every time. As much as I love the fact they are bonding as they have gotten older. Every flashback just reaffirms that Kevin was not a good brother to Randall and he didn't have a reason not to be. It's like Randall once said, he treated him like a dog, and it's so awful to watch. Especially in the wake of Jack's death.

I hope their college years have a bit more give and take.

I agree on that with you. Kevin wasn't a good brother to Randall. I'm just saying that his whole childhood he felt like he was in a second place next to Randall. And it wasn't Randall's fault, but unfortunately he took it out on him. And he shoudn't have done that, that's without question.

Yeah, I have see this happened between my brothers (we have different father) when we were younger, but now, they have better relationship bec I think that they just can't keep go back and forth like that.. But again, I think that how some siblings are like that...
