2022 N.F.L. Playoffs Pick the Winners Divisional Round weekend thread (deadline Saturday, January 22nd at 4:30 P.M. EST)
Welcome to the playoff edition of the 17th season of the NFL “Pick the Winners” game here at the Sports board! :wave For those who have played this game before, you know how the drill goes. If you are new to the game, it’s pretty simple. During each week of the season, there will be a thread posted with that week’s slate of games. It is your job to pick the winners of each match-up and place a point value on it.
At the conclusion of each week, we will add up the total points and crown a “Pick the Winners” champion. Over the course of the season, we will keep a list of the weekly champions and a running point total for each participant. At the end of the season, the person(s) with the highest point total and/or best record and/or closest to the actual score of the Super Bowl will be crowned the playoff winner. Sounds pretty simple, right? So, join in! If you have any questions, feel free to ask here. Remember, you must have your picks posted by the deadline listed, so make sure to double-check to make sure your picks are correct before then. Also, once the deadline listed passes, your picks are locked in. The rules are basically the same as the regular season, except there fewer games to work with. So there will be a slight change to the rules just for the playoffs: There are 13 games in the playoffs Super Bowl LV AFC Champion vs. NFC Champion in Tampa, 6:30 p.m. ET (CBS) Sunday Febuary 7 plese note this season two more teams added to the playoffs 4 Wild Card 4 Divisional Playoff 2 Conference Championship 1 Superbowl 13 total games, so everyone will get the numbers 1-13 to use. As normal, In round 1, you pick the four winners, and give each of them a number as to the likelihood of that team's victory. for example: Team A beats Team B (6) Team C beats team D (10) Team E beats Team F (2) Team G Beats Team H (9) Say you get the first three right, but miss the last one. You get 18 points. Now in round two, you pick again, but you have already used 6, 10, 2, and 9, so you can't assign those values anymore. And we'll keep a running tab on the values you've already assigned. Team I beats Team A (11) Team J beats Team C (4) Team E beats Team K (8) Team L beats Team H (7) This time, you get the last two, but miss the first two. So now you have 33 points. And only the values 1, 3, and 5 left for the two semi finals and the Superbowl. Do you follow? Overall Standings: Hot Rod: 41 pts (5-1) NOLA504: 35 pts (6-0) canflam: 34 pts (4-2) Ms Cyatt: 36 pts (4-2) Logan: 29 pts (4-2) The Survivor: 26 pts (3-3) Numbers left: Hot Rod: 1, 2, 4, 8, 9, 10, 12 NOLA504: 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 canflam: 1, 2, 3, 8, 9, 12, 13 Ms Cyatt: 2, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10, 11 Logan: 1, 5, 7, 8, 9, 12, 13 The Survivor: 4, 5, 7, 8, 10, 12, 13 Divisional Weekend: Saturday, January 22nd Cincinnati @ Tennessee 4:30 P.M. I missed what happened to Green Bay late. Only 10 points scored at home though. Yikes. Here's an update:
canflam: 9 pts. NOLA504: 5 pts. The Survivor: 4 pts. Hot Rod: 0 pts. Logan: 0 pts. Ms Cyatt: 0 pts. Only The Survivor selected San Francisco to win vs. Green Bay yesterday & they did. I am the only 1 of us to have picked Cincinnati to win vs. Tennessee & they did. That gives me a 2 point current lead in our overall standings with 5 playoff games remaining this winter. __________________

Looks like you got your wish Maurice. Rams topped Bucs 30-27.
I'm pulling for Cincinnati Bengals to win AFC Championship and San Francisco to win NFC Championship next week and both teams go the Superbowl. I feel like out of the teams left they are the underdogs. If it can be my teams going then, I'm rooting for the underdogs to go. __________________
