The steroid hitters were hitting home runs off of steroid pitching. Good for them!

I don't think that any player should feel justified for using steroids. It makes me sick.

I'm glad he finally came clean but it took him a long time to do so. It just makes him look that much worse. That he wanted all the glory but not if he had to do it the right way.

I also don't like when players use steroids. You're cheating and playing along with those players who train and perform at their best without using drugs to enhance themselves. How can you not feel ashamed of yourself? I think it's really gross.

Frank Thomas announced his retirement today. Happened to be at Comiskey taking some pics for a little project I'm working on. Noticed the crowd, asked around, stayed for a bit, met him and got him to sign a ball for me. It was amazing.

P&C for the Sox report Sunday. I'm so glad baseball season is coming. It's been a long winter.

I'm seeing a Phillies/Rays ST game in Tampa in 2 weeks. I'm pumped!

So, it's official. Joe Mauer remains a Minnesota Twin for the long term.
Quote:
MINNEAPOLIS -- AL MVP Joe Mauer has agreed to an eight-year, $184 million contract extension to stay with the Minnesota Twins.

The deal announced Sunday covers the 2011-2018 seasons and includes a full no-trade clause. It's the culmination of a monthslong negotiation between the Twins and their hometown star.

Mauer has won three AL batting titles and an MVP award. He is considered one of the best defensive catchers in the game. Last year he hit .365 with 28 home runs and 96 RBIs to help the Twins win the AL Central division.

The St. Paul native was the No. 1 overall pick by the Twins in 2001.
Source: ESPN

In my opinion? This is the best thing not only for the Minnesota Twins, but baseball in general.

All I can say about Mauer is that I hope he's not wasting his career. He's too good to never win a World Series.

I can't believe the Royals have turned Kyle Farnsworth into a starter.
