Oklahoma takes Game 1 by a score of 5-3 via a Lauren Chamberlain walk-off two-run home run. It was scoreless through 10 innings. Tennessee scored three in the top of the 11th via a three-run home run by Madison Shipman. Oklahoma scored three in the bottom of the inning to tie it 3-3. Tennessee didn't score in the top of the 12th and Oklahoma came back to win.
Game 2 is later tonight at 8 PM EST on ESPN. |

I can`t believe that i fell asleep on what turned out to be a wild finish to an instant classic. I thought that Tennessee had it won after Madison Shipman hit that three run homer to give them the lead, but the Sooners` potent offense finally came alive when it was needed late in the game to give them the win. It`ll be interesting to see how the Vols will rebound after such a brutally tough loss later tonight in Game 2.

Oklahoma shut out Tennessee 4-0 in Game 2 to win the national championship.

Just want to alert everyone that the NCAA Softball Tournament starts this weekend with the regionals. Florida is the #1 seed. In fact here is the bracket.

The Florida Gators and the Michigan Wolverines will face each other for the championship series. Florida has a chance to repeat; they won last year.
As an Ohio State fan, I'm rooting for Florida. __________________

While eating lunch with my son at a restaurant, a college game was on Oregon vs Arizona (I think was the other team).
So it was a first for me, and us. Gave us a nice topic to chat about.__________________
